Devised by Richard Bandler and John Grinder in the early 1970s and developed ever since, NLP uses many different techniques to “change your mind”. Thought and language patterns, self-hypnosis, visualisation, mental rehearsal, and letting your imagination run riot are just some of the fun ways you can use to make those changes.The best thing is that you already know how to do this. The fun is in learning new ways to understand and map your inner world.
NLP exercises involve using your senses (sight, hearing, touch, taste and smell) to build powerful new thought processes. We make many connections between the mental, emotional and physical and these associations and connections can be changed – once we know how to do this. So NLP can be used to change all sorts of feelings and behaviours and to reprogramme to a more positive experience of life. The glass can be half full, or half empty – you choose.
